  • Asante receives first order from Partners in Europe, the Pan European Repping leader in the market place.

    San Jose, California, September 5, 2007 – Asante Networks, today announced the release of their first series of new networking cameras and network video servers.  Asante’s enterprise, Small-to-Medium (SMB) and Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) technologies bring networking and security solutions to the market. The NetCam is using a SONY CCD sensor with world-leading MPEG-4 and MJPEG encoder technology.

    Partners in Europe (PIE) will provide the sales infrastructure necessary to bring Asante’s networking cameras to a multi language European customer base. PIE is a Pan European Sales company with its own Direct Sales force covering all of Europe. The Company was established in 1993 and has been responsible for major European sales success stories for its US Clients. Partners in Europe sell to all of the major European Retailers, E Tailers, & VAR/VAD Channel.  In addition to sales, PIE can ship products directly to its customers from their 50,000 sq foot facility. PIE also provides Pan European Multilingual Customer service support for its customers.

    PIE is a critical element in Asante Network’s campaign to successfully penetrate and capture a significant market share in the European Market. PIE’s sales, logistical, and support services will be essential to the initial and ongoing marketing successes.

    The NetCam 8001 is a combined network camera and pan-tilt device.  It plugs directly into an Ethernet network and delivers clear and sharp surveillance video/images to any Internet browser via Ethernet or IP network. 

    Other benefits of the unit are the pan, tilt, digital zoom, wireless, power over Ethernet, motion detection, numerous ways to record images and review images.  The NetCam is a true plug-n-play device and very easy to install.  

    Growth of the worldwide video surveillance market is predicted to explode from US $4.9b in 2007 to more than US $9b in 2011 according to Market research firm iSuppli Corp., in an article published in EE Times Online on March 20, 2007. Our Asante networking cameras fit right into this market segment, and we believe it can become a dominant player in this market space,” said Bina Patel, Asante Network’s VP of Sales and Marketing. “The European market needs quality products that provide price/performance benefits.  We believe that there are significant revenue opportunities for Asante in Europe.”
